Megan E. Gardner, MD, FAAP
Dr. Gardner was born and raised in Shreveport. She graduated from Byrd High School and went on to attend Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She returned home to attend Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. She completed her Pediatric Internship and Residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. Dr. Gardner joined the Ark-La-Tex Children's Clinic in July 2010.
She is Board-Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She was recognized by the Shreveport-Bossier Chamber of Commerce as Young Professional of the Year 2012 as part of their 40 Under 40 program. She has also been instrumental in reestablishing the Northwest Louisiana Pediatric Society since 2012 and has served as President, Secretary, and Treasurer. She has also served on the Executive Council of the Louisiana chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She served as the Asthma Champion for the state of Louisiana through the AAP's Division of Medical Homes for 3 years.
When Dr. Gardner isn't advocating for our local children, she enjoys gardening and playing tennis. She loves spending time with family, friends, and her beloved dachshund, Beignet, as well as cat, Boudin. During football season, you will definitely find Dr. Gardner cheering on the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints!
